Paint products are used for both the exterior and interior of virtually all man-made structures, from office buildings to manufacturing plants to homes. Building paint accounts for roughly one-third of current paint production. Customer demands for better quality and more utility have grown with the emergence of new materials and paint uses. Our ability to meet these demands has turned over more than 10% of this market to Rock Paint.
Rock Paint's most prominent building-use product lines are our VINY ROCK and ROCK COTE lines, which have been best sellers for over 40 years. More recently, growing environmental concerns led to the development of UNI ROCK HI GLOSS, a waterborne enamel with high performance and luster, comparable to organic paints. Rock has also developed SILICO MAX, a waterbased acrylic silicon resin paint with high weather resistance.
We are also exploring ways to reduce indoor environmental pollution, and we have recently introduced our ROCK CLOTH SEALER, a wall coating that prevents the release of harmful substances contained within the adhesive used in wall coatings, and our ECOROCK line coatings, which allow for an original design finish. In short, Rock Paint aims to widen the use of paint as a safe system for interior wall coatings.
